Biography
Gholamhossein Ghayeghvar was an Imperial Iranian Army commando who participated in the 1980 Nojeh (Shahrokhi) coup attempt. He was arrested and, during a televised trial, defiantly stated his actions were solely for the homeland. Ghayeghvar was executed by firing squad on July 20, 1980, just ten days after his arrest.
غلامحسین قایقور، کماندوی ارتش شاهنشاهی ایران بود که در قیام شاهرخی (کودتای نوژه) در سال ۱۳۵۹ شرکت داشت. او دستگیر شد و در جریان یک دادگاه تلویزیونی، شجاعانه اعلام کرد که تنها فکرش میهن بوده است. قایقور تنها ده روز پس از دستگیری، در تاریخ ۲۹ تیر ۱۳۵۹ (۲۰ جولای ۱۹۸۰) با تیرباران اعدام شد.
